I couldn't put the book down, "Shadow on the Moon" had my complete attention form beginning to end. Like all the best science fiction, Shadow on the Moon explores new technology, based on the most current research and firmly rooted in the possible. The characters are engaging. The plot explores socially and economically relevant issues. I highly recommend this book, it is a must read.

Turning Paradise, a hard-science fiction short story of a wife-and-husband scientist/engineer team working against time to deflect an incoming asteroid from plowing into Earth was a joy to read...and I'm not saying that just because the author used my name for his male protagonist!

Lazarus is a stranger in a strange land, and few trust him. But the threat he has uncovered is real, and soon the Moon will know all out war. A war that will grow to encompass all of cislunar space, but also carries the seed of a different tomorrow.

"Evolution's Child, Republic of Luna," by Charles Lee Lesher, is an exceptional piece of future science as I have read in some time. Set toward the close of this century, this well thought out work develops technologies that are only now being envisioned.

Shadow on the Moon is a wonderful first book. I am left wanting to know more about this Lunarian society and how it progresses. Can't wait for the next book in the series!

Fully developed characters, a lot of hard-core science, great action sequences and even a little sex!; Chuck’s novel of this near-future lunar/earth conflict held my interest, as I’m sure it will yours. His views will challenge you. I’m looking forward to the next installment.

The plot is intricate, the science just around the corner, and the characters work well in their environment - not to mention it gets 'hold your breath' exciting.

Genesis is a truly compelling (short) story. The images have lasted all day. It isn't often a story can do that for me. I love short stories and their authors, Eudora Welty, Katherine Ann Porter, Guy de Maupassa

If you liked "Prayers for the Assassin" or "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" this is a gotta read. The conflicts in the world today, and the technology of today are writ large and plausible in this novel.

This sequel to "Evolution's Child" is a blockbuster science fiction masterpiece. I had trouble deciding where science left off and science fiction began. I had great empathy and admiration for the Lunarians and the society they had created and intense contempt for the religious fundamentalists that tried to destroy them.

I loved this book. Reading it was like eating a favorite meal. The scarily accurate predictions about a direction our society currently is moving toward is offset by hope for humanity based on our wisest possibilities.
